Protests erupt outside Kasba Police station as 3 arrested in alleged Kolkata college gang rape
BJP legislators staged a walkout in the West Bengal Legislative Assembly on Thursday after the Speaker refused to allow a discussion on the alleged remarks made about Leader of the Opposition Suvendu Adhikari. The protest was triggered by statements from TMC legislators Humayun Kabir and Siddiqulla Chowdhury, who reportedly criticized Adhikari. BJP leader Shankar Ghosh demanded that the two TMC legislators retract their comments or face disciplinary action. The BJP also accused the TMC government of attempting to suppress the opposition's voice and stifle free speech in the assembly.
